Privacy Policy for LibrePsy

1. Data Storage

LibrePsy does not require you to create an account.

LibrePsy does not use its own server to store your practice data. Information you add to the app is stored locally on your device.

This may include:

• anonymized client identifiers;
• session records and professional notes;
• client requests and goals;
• progress scale and marker assessments;
• scheduled sessions;
• supervision questions and notes;
• practice statistics and app settings.

LibrePsy is designed to be used with anonymized client identifiers rather than clients' real names.

2. Data Collection and Sharing

LibrePsy does not collect your practice data or transmit it to LibrePsy servers.

The app does not use:

• advertising SDKs;
• analytics systems;
• third-party user tracking;
• third-party crash-reporting systems;
• user accounts;
• a proprietary LibrePsy cloud storage service or server.

LibrePsy does not sell your practice data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

3. Medical Data and Purpose of the App

LibrePsy is intended to help psychologists and counsellors organize their professional practice.

The app is not intended for medical diagnosis, prescribing or providing treatment, emergency services, or maintaining medical records.

LibrePsy does not request access to Apple Health or HealthKit.

Users are encouraged to consider the professional, ethical, confidentiality, and legal requirements applicable to their practice when deciding what information to store in LibrePsy.

4. Backups

LibrePsy allows you to manually create a backup of your practice data.

A backup is created only when you choose to create one. When exporting a backup, you choose where to save or share the file using the options provided by your device.

After a backup file has been exported from LibrePsy, its storage and protection depend on the location or service you choose.

Backup files may contain information and professional notes entered into LibrePsy. We recommend storing backup files securely and not sharing them with unauthorized persons.

5. Notifications

LibrePsy can send local notifications about scheduled sessions if you enable this feature and grant notification permission.

Notification content is designed not to display client identifiers, notes, requests, or session content on the lock screen.

Local notifications do not require a LibrePsy server.

6. App Protection

You can optionally protect access to LibrePsy using the system authentication methods available on your device.

Authentication is performed by Apple's system frameworks. LibrePsy does not receive or store Face ID data, Touch ID data, your device passcode, or other biometric credentials.

7. System Services

LibrePsy uses standard Apple platform features for certain functionality, including local data storage, notifications, file import and export, and device authentication.

Your use of Apple devices and services is also subject to Apple's applicable privacy policies and terms.

8. Data Deletion

Practice data can be deleted using the functionality provided within LibrePsy.

Deleting LibrePsy from your device may also remove data stored locally by the app.

Previously exported backups are separate files and are not automatically deleted when the app or its local data is deleted.

9. Children's Privacy

LibrePsy is intended for professional use by psychologists and counsellors and is not designed as a service for children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if LibrePsy's functionality or data-handling practices change.

The current version of this Privacy Policy will be published on this page together with the date of the latest update.
